One of the greatest challenges of being a Breema practitioner is having to describe or define Breema bodywork in words. When someone asks me, "What is Breema?" my immediate response is to say, "Here, lie down, let me show you."

Unfortunately, that answer rarely satisfies. Most people are understandably reluctant to allow a stranger -- or even a friend -- to touch their body unless they know exactly what that person intends to do, and why. "Tell me about Breema first," they say, "and then I'll see whether I want to try it."

The problem is that the experience of receiving Breema is pretty much indescribable. It's like telling someone what it's like to see the winter's first snowfall, or what it's like to eat a truly delicious meal. I can narrate the sequence of events, but much is lost in the translation.

Here, nevertheless, are answers to the questions that everyone asks me about Breema. Keep in mind that these are my answers; other Breema practitioners might respond to the same questions differently.

If you have any questions that remain to be answered, you'll just have to lie down and let me show you.
